Update on GST Changes

The government has recently reduced GST on most medicines from 12% to 5%, and fully exempted some life-saving drugs.
At City Chemist, we’ve temporarily adjusted our discount structure to align with these changes. For older stock we purchased at 12% GST, we continue to offer ≈10% discounts based on the old MRP—ensuring you still receive around 3% extra benefit beyond the GST rate cut.
This temporary measure helps us balance the difference in purchase tax (already paid at 12%) while still passing on maximum savings to you.
As we restock with medicines priced at the new 5% GST, we will gradually restore our usual 10% discount levels. Our goal remains to provide you with the best value and service.
